Wedding directors in Korea

Kelly and Sue, wedding photographers & directors for international couples.

We have been wedding photographers for a decade, with over 1,000 couples behind the camera. Now, as wedding directors in Korea, we plan and direct American-style weddings. We bring the experience and the taste to make your destination wedding dream come true, right here in Korea.

About us

We started as wedding photographers. That is still how we see a wedding.

For 10 years, Kelly and Sue stood at the edge of the aisle with a camera. From there you see the whole day before anyone else does: where the light falls, which moment matters, what makes a family feel at home.

Now we direct it. We build outdoor weddings in Korea for international couples the way we would compose a photograph, and we speak with both families in their own language.

Questions

Wedding in Korea, answered

What international couples usually ask us first.

Q.01When is the best season for an outdoor wedding in Korea?

Late April to early June, and mid-September to early November. The air is clear and the light is soft. July and August bring heat and the monsoon, and winter is beautiful but cold for an open-air ceremony.

Q.02What happens if it rains?

Every outdoor wedding we direct has a covered plan decided months ahead, not on the morning. We choose venues where the rain plan still looks good, and we make the final call with you two days out.

Q.03We live abroad. How does planning work?

Mostly on video calls and one shared planning document. We visit venues and vendors for you and send videos and notes. Most couples fly in about a week before the wedding for final fittings and a walkthrough.

Q.04Can we include Korean traditions like pyebaek or hanbok?

Yes, as much or as little as you like. We can arrange a short pyebaek for the families, hanbok for the couple and parents, or a quiet tea ceremony. We also prepare simple English notes so overseas guests understand each moment.

Q.05How far in advance should we book?

For a spring or autumn Saturday, ten to fourteen months ahead is ideal. The best outdoor venues fill early. Shorter timelines are possible, so ask us.
